From Italy to your table…

With a true love of cooking and food, even as a child in Italy, I loved watching my mother cook.  Being around so much good food made me realize that cooking was what I wanted to do.  I went to cooking school in Sorrento in 1967.  That is when my passion for cooking really took flight.  I’ve been cooking for 43 years, and I take great pride in what I do.  My son Michael joined me in 2014 as a partner and legacy to bringing amazing food to Brevard County.  Knowing that we have the history, and the future together will ensure that we continue to provide the most authentic Italian cuisine to our very loyal customers.

Our favorite type of cooking is Italian regional cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine, with lots of fresh fish and red sauces.  Two of our signature dishes here at Melo’s are Veal Osso Bucco and Beef Braciola.  We buy our vegetables and proteins fresh, make our own bread and pasta daily and that shows in our dishes ~ we make fish dishes that melt in your mouth, delicious veal and chicken that are must-tries on the menu.
